the
Pacemaker & Arrhythmia
Self-help Group
St. Paul's Hospital
Vancouver, B.C.

The Pacemaker Arrhythmia Self Help Group (PASH) is an initiative of the Healthy
Heart Helpers Association within the Cardiac Society of B.C., a non profit
society formed for the purpose of supporting cardiac rehabilitation.
Our Mission is to provide educational, emotional and social support to
individuals with pacemakers and/or arrhythmia and to those who are potential
candidates for implants. We share knowledge, feelings, experiences and
insights in a supportive environment. We help one another grow, foster
acceptance of our disease/illness and provide support from peers as well as
professional speakers.
PASH includes
all individuals with rhythm disorders of the heart. These rhythm disorders
include: atrial fibrillation, LAF (Lone Atrial Fibrillation), SSS (Sick
Sinus Syndrome), ventricular tachycardia and many more. Treatment solutions
discussed include and not limited to: medical management, ablation,
pacemakers, ICD's (implantable cardiac defibrillators), naturopathic
remedies and more.
Membership in the Cardiac Society provides receipt of regular newsletters,
access to support groups, volunteering opportunities and input into the
direction of the association. Additionally, you will be notified of
all PASH Group meetings and receive any special guidance communications specific
to pacemaker or
arrhythmia conditions.
Please note that PASH does not provide medical
advice,
we only impart information.
